Trainees got excited after receiving alert from SLTF that their May, June allowance and arrears if any has duly been paid.
Following the disbursement, trainees thought they will receive their full allowance since they are not on their various campuses to be fed.A lot of trainees had the hope that their various colleges were going to refund their monies to them, but as it stands now, their hope keeps declining.

A lot of trainees had the hope that their various colleges were going to refund their monies to them, but as it stands now, their hope keeps declining.

In an exclusive interaction with one female trainee who attends one of the Colleges of Education in Kumasi made it clear that, their college authorities want to find ways and means to take their money. She further explained bitterly that, ” We were supposed to resume to campus on that very Monday the President of Ghana declared the shutdown of schools so we could not report to campus and here is the case the principal is saying: Before we were about to resume she went for food stuffs and also paid for some utilities so she has used our Gh¢400.00 balance to pay that.”

Meanwhile, after the disbursement of the allowance, a seen message, which claims to be from EGA, told trainees to exercise patient since the remaining components of their allowance will be paid by their college.

The message reads;
“Good morning honourable members, please note that SLTF will be paying only Gh¢200.00 as they’ve always been paying and the remaining components will be paid to the college as your feeding just as always.Colleges will have to refund the monies back to trainees since they’ve not been fed.”
She stated in her conclusion that, “I entreat the local TTAG (SRC) to start working on it now that SLTF has done with the disbursement so our monies would be refunded duely to us to facilitate the online learning we are doing”.

Now the question most teacher trainees are throwing day in and day out to PRINCOF is that, “When are you going to give us our feeding fees simply because you did not feed us for this semester”.
