The University of Ghana School of Law invites applications for admission into its Post-First Degree LL.B. programme for the 2022/2022 academic year. (Applicants should note that the Post First Degree LLB Programme is an undergraduate programme).

Qualification:

The minimum entry qualification is a Second Class (Lower Division) Degree in any discipline from a recognised University (i.e. Universities recognised and/or accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Ghana).

Ghanaian Applicants

University of Ghana online application E-VOUCHERS can be obtained by Ghanaian applicants for GH¢200.00 at the following banks: Ecobank, Republic Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, GCB Bank, Zenith Bank, Universal Merchant Bank, Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), Prudential Bank and Fidelity Bank.

International Applicants

International applicants should NOT buy the e-voucher. They should use the following link to access the online application form for completion and submission.

Online Application for International and Ghanaians Abroad Undergraduate Applicants

All applicants are expected to pay to the University a non-refundable application processing fee of US$110.00. This fee can be paid directly or wire transferred into the University of Ghana ECOBANK Account.

Before starting your application, we strongly recommend that you read and review this advertisement carefully together with all relevant information and guidelines for prospective applicants. Please follow carefully all instructions given. You must submit your completed application forms on-line.

Applicants must in addition provide or submit the following required documents and/or materials DIRECTLY to the School of Law before the given application deadline, namely: –

  • One (1) copy of ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE authenticated by institution awarding degree;
  • One (1) copy of ORIGINAL ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT;
  • Three (3) Academic Referee reports;
  • Please provide, in your own handwriting, a candid evaluation of yourself as a person, discussing in order of importance to you the personal characteristics you feel are your strengths and those you feel are your weaknesses. The written self-evaluation must be signed by you with your usual signature;
  • Two (2) recent passport-sized (45mm x 35mm) colour photographs of yourself, with each bearing your full name as the same appears on all supporting documents and with your usual signature on the back thereof. The required colour photographs should be taken against a light coloured background; be clear and of good quality, and not framed or backed; they should be printed on normal photographic paper, and should show your full face and without sunglasses, hat or other head covering unless you wear this for cultural or religious reasons (but the face must not be covered).
  • Application Confirmation Letter

Four (4) copies of the APPLICATION PACKAGE should be submitted to the School of Law before the given application deadline.

The DEADLINE for the submission of applications online and also for the submission of all of the above required and mentioned documents to the School of Law is 5. OOPM FRIDAY FEBRUARY 28TH 2020. Owing to high demand we regret that we are unable to consider incomplete and/or late applications.

N/B:  Be sure, in your own interest, to put your full name as the same appears on all your supporting documents and to write your SERIAL NUMBER (as it appears on the e-voucher) on all the above documents before submission. The name of the programme being applied for should also be written on all documents. All documents should be in English. Documents not in English should be accompanied by accredited translations in English approved of by the National Accreditation Board of Ghana. Supporting Documents and/or Materials sent via post or courier mail service must be received by the proper officers of the School of Law by the end of the working day, 5.00PM or 17.00GMT on the deadline date for submission of applications which is FRIDAY FERUARY 28TH 2020.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

Qualified short-listed applicants will be expected to take a selection examination which will attract a non-refundable examination fee of One Hundred and   Eighty Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 180 .00) for both Ghanaian and International Applicants. The date for the Entrance Examination will be announced in due course.  Applicants who pass the Entrance Examination will go through an admission interview process.

HOW TO APPLY for PRESBYTERIAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, GHANA 2022/2023

Purchase an eVoucher from any branch of these banks (Agricultural Development Bank, Ecobank, HFC Bank, Universal Merchant Bank, Prudential Bank, CBG, GCB, and Fidelity Bank). The cost of an eVoucher is GHS 100.00 for Ghanaian applicants and $100.00 for Non-Ghanaian applicants.

Applicants can also purchase the eVoucher using VISA and MTN Mobile Money. To use the VISA or MTN Mobile Money platform,

  1. Click here
  2. Provide your Name, Email Address and a valid Telephone Number (include international prefix and number should be a registered MTN mobile money subscriber)
  3. Click Submit
  4. Wait for PIN and Serial Number to be sent to the Telephone Number as SMS or the Email Address you provided.

TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

  1. Click here
  2. Enter the PIN and Serial Number on the eVoucher you purchased.
  3. Complete the form
  4. Add all supporting documents
  5. Submit the form

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. Applicants do not need to complete the form at one sitting; you can return to your partially completed application form by logging in to the system using the PIN and Serial Number on your eVoucher.

At any of the Banks listed above, applicants will be required to indicate their names, mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses on the bank voucher before they are served. Those without e-mail addresses will however not be disadvantaged. A confirmation of their Pin will be sent to their mobile phones. After purchasing the e-voucher, applicants should CAREFULLY follow the instructions given. After the application has been submitted on-line, the e-voucher should be kept in a safe place as it may be required by applicants when accessing their admission status at a later date.

  • DIPLOMA/HND TO DEGREE APPLICANTS

After buying the e-voucher, Diploma/HND to Degree applicants are expected to scan and attach the following documents to their online application forms:

  • Diploma/HND transcripts
  • Where applicable, certified copies of ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level certificates/result slips

The pay-in-slips together with applicants’ certificates/result slips should be scanned and attached to the application form before submission online. The certificates/results slips should be scanned into one PDF or WORD document and attached to the application form.

2. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND GHANAIANS APPLYING FROM ABROAD
