Our vocational and professional programs produce graduates who practically demonstrate that they have the relevant practical skills (focus on application of knowledge & theories) and knowledge linked with experience (to get the qualification you need both) and that they can practically handle their work in line with their area of specialization in any country in world with minimum supervision. All employers value a practical professional or vocational course that provides the specific skills needed for the job. Practical knowledge based education focuses on application of knowledge and theories linked with experience.
2.0 Internal and External Assessments
Throughout your Internal Assessments, you will be required to practically demonstrate and apply knowledge and skills gained during your studies. If you are unemployed, you will be expected to assume or imagine you have a job role towards which your answers to the assessments will be aligned. In some cases, you will be required to visit industry sites and prepare reports which you will be expected to present to your tutors, internal verifiers and witnesses.
Our Internal Assessments are conducted through Assignments and Mock Examinations. Two Mock Examinations are conducted for the annual programs and one mock examination for the semester programs. The format and structure of mock examinations papers fully conform with the final external examination prepared and conducted by the respective examining bodies.
Our Mock examinations are used to prepare students for the final external examinations except for Pearson (Business and Technology Education Council) BTEC programs which only uses assessments in form of assignments, projects etc. and not examinations.
Students also take practical assignments per each unit/module. Students who fail to obtain a minimum overall pass rate of 60% is not allowed to register for the final external assessment/examination in that particular course until he/she is ready to do so by improving his/her internal performance. You must be registered as a student member of your respective examinations body and pay for your membership and examinations before being registered for the external examinations.
